How to choose a good night cream:

We have been told too many times that using a night cream is essential for our skin and it should be part of our daily routine. This advice is based on the fact that our skin’s cell regeneration power is higher at night and that the skin absorbs active ingredients better at night time.

But this time let’s look at what makes a good night cream:

  • Antioxidants: ViT C, green tea or pomegranate or any other antioxidant will do the job. Antioxidants will save your cells from environmental damage by penetrating the skin and turning harmful free radicals in harmless molecules thereby stopping the assault of elastin and collagen.

  • Alpha Hydroxy acids: such as glycolic acid.  The acids easily and gently break the bonds between dead cells allowing moisture to bind to skin cells and aging ingredients to penetrate faster and work more effectively.

  • Retinol: is a Vitamin A derivative that speeds up cell turnover boosts collagen and elastin by stimulating cellular repair pumps up circulation by increasing blood-vessel formation.

  • Hyaluronic acid simply put, Hyaluronic acid has powerful anti-aging properties , it is naturally present in the skin, and helps to attract and maintain moisture in the skin, giving it a very important role in keeping skin smooth and plump.
